Candida Diet Desserts Recipe

DESSERTS AND SNACKS  

Tofu Carob Pudding 
  • 8 oz silken tofu (organic)
  • 3 tbsp carob powder
  • 1/2 tsp stevia powder or 4 drops stevia liquid 
  • 1/4 cup almonds, ground 
Combine all ingredients except almonds in a blender until smooth. Chill and serve with ground almonds sprinkled on top.

Baked Cinnamon Apple 
  • 1 medium Granny Smith or pippin apple 
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional) 
Remove apple core to about 1/2 inch of the bottom of the apple. Make the hole about 3/4-1 inch wide. Blend the cinnamon and butter and spoon it into cavity of apple. Place apple in a buttered baking pan with about 1/4 inch of water and bake at 350° until tender. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
 
Spicy Almonds, Walnuts, or Pecans 
  • 1 cup raw almonds, walnuts, or pecans 
  • Few dashes of cayenne 
  • 2 - 4 drops stevia liquid
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
Stir all ingredients together. Spread on baking sheet and bake at 300° for 10 minutes. 

Carob Chip Cookies 
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/4 tsp stevia powder
  • 1 egg 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla 
  • 1/2 cup whole spelt or buckwheat flour 
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt 
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda 
  • 1 cup rolled oats 
  • 1/4 cup raw pecans or walnuts, chopped 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened carob chips
Mix the butter, stevia, egg, and vanilla in a bowl. Blend in remaining ingredients in the order listed. Drop tablespoonfuls of the batter onto a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 375°.


Tahini Toast 
  • 1 slice bread (wheat-, yeast-, sugar-, and dairy-free) 
  • 1 tbsp raw tahini
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of stevia

Candida Diet Recipe

Olive Tapenade 
  • 1/2 cup black olives, pitted and chopped 
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt 
  • 1/4 cup dry-roasted pine nuts, finely chopped 
Hand mix all ingredients.

Guacamole 
  • 1 medium-sized ripe avocado, peeled and pitted 
  • 4 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp onion, finely chopped
  • Sea salt to taste 
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional) 
Mash avocado and mix in remaining ingredients.

Salsa 
  • 2 cups tomatoes, diced 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped 
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice 
  • 1 jalapeno, finely chopped 
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste
 Hand mix an ingredients.

Tofu "Cheese" Sauce 
  • 1/2 pound soft tofu (organic, non-GMO) 
  • 1 tbsp raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar 
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced 
  • 1/3 cup raw tahini
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp pepper 
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt 
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Use on vegetables and grains.

Tahini Dressing 
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar 
  • 4 tbsp olive oil or flaxseed oil
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice 
  • 2-3 drops stevia 
  • Seasonings - fresh garlic or garlic powder, sea salt, pepper, pinch of cayenne - as desired 
Put all ingredients in a jar and shake well. Keep refrigerated.
 

Macadamia Cream Sauce 
  • 15 raw macadamia nuts 
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt 
  • Juice of 1/2 fresh lemon 
  • 1/4 cup basil 
  • 1 garlic clove
Blend all ingredients in blender. Add more lemon juice if needed to achieve desired consistency. Use on vegetables and grains.
 

OTHER SAUCES AND TOPPINGS 


Here are some other simple combinations that you can use as sauces and toppings for vegetables, salads, grains, or other dishes.
  • Cold-pressed sesame seed oil with ginger and garlic
  • Olive oil, garlic, and lemon (good over wheat-free pasta)
  • Fresh-squeezed lemon and/or lime juice 
  • Bragg Liquid Aminos (unfermented soy sauce; provides salty flavor for stir-fries) 
  • Unsweetened orange or pineapple juice as a marinade for fish or chicken 
  • Seaweed flakes (as a topping for stir-fries and salads) 
  • Curry (coconut milk, turmeric, cumin, ginger, and garlic paste) 
  • Spices - cayenne, turmeric, ginger, cumin, epozote, coriander, curry, cinnamon, bay leaves, and basil
