Candida Yeast Infection Diet

2. Take Nutritional Supplements on an Ongoing Basis. These should include:
  • Probiotics because they promote a natural, healthy balance of microorganisms in your digestive tract.
  • Digestive enzymes because they promote optimal digestion and ease digestive upsets.
  • Herbs and nutrients because they inhibit the growth of candida yeast.
  • A good-quality multi-vitamin and mineral supplement because they help supply your body with all the nutrients necessary to help you regain your health.

3. Minimize Chemical Exposures in Your Home and Workplace

Review your environment at home and at work to determine if any of the most common chemical or mold exposures might be causing difficulties for you. Take these actions to further reduce your exposure:
  • Breathe outdoor air every day and open your house and office to air them out.
  • Remove as many chemicals as possible from your home.
  • Use baking soda, unscented soap, vinegar, lemon juice, or food, grade hydrogen peroxide for household cleaning.
  • Use unscented cosmetics, deodorants, soaps and laundry detergents.
  • Dry clean as few items of clothing as possible.
  • Buy and eat organic foods and products as much as possible.
  • Take saunas. Sweating helps your body clear itself of toxins.
4. Move!

How many times have you been told that the key to all your problems, especially your weight problem, is to eat right and exercise? It's true - and it's also not surprising if you are resistant to this simplistic approach.
  • Begin with something as simple as spending time outdoors. Move fresh air in and out of your lungs. Transfer your attention from a TV or computer screen to a bird, a cloud, or falling rain. For some, that will be a huge beginning.
  • If you can, walk or swim, do stretches and simple resistance exercises.
  • Listen to your own body. Experiment. See what feels good to you because that is what you will enjoy doing.
5. Take Care of Yourself

Your body and your emotions are intertwined. Each affects the other in powerful ways. Make time for yourself and take time to care for yourself emotionally:
  • Increase your awareness of how you are resisting change and understand that change is normal for everyone, and so is resistance to change.
  • Then work through your resistance and "fake it till you make it." Act and the enthusiasm will follow!
6. Work with a Healthcare Professional
  • It helps if you can find a physician experienced in treating yeast-related problems.
  • If your doctor is not experienced, but is open to new ideas, you can explore your options together by using the physician packet available through our blog.
  • If you do not have a physician, look for resources.
  • Discuss with your doctor whether or not you need to take prescription antifungals.
OOPS! I FELL OFF THE PROGRAM!

You and I are human. None of us is perfect. It's quite possible you'll fall off the program. You may slip at a time when you're having thoughts that run along these lines:
  • "This is a lot of trouble."
  • "I don't think it's worth it."
  • "I don't feel that much better."
  • "I don't have the energy to do this."

These self-sabotaging thought patterns may lead you to indulge in some of your old eating habits. If so, you will most likely notice the quick return of some of your former symptoms. If that isn't a wake-up call, I don't know what is!

If this happens, it is a signal for you to pick yourself up and get back with the program. Don't beat yourself up, because that only reinforces the negative self-talk. Consider that you've learned a valuable lesson. To find out more, you can check out Candida Yeast Infection Diet.
