Candida Detox Diet

Turkey Soup with Winter Vegetables 
  • 1 or 2 large turkey legs 
  • 2 bay leaves 
  • 1 tsp dried parsley 
  • 1 tsp dried thyme 
  • 1 daikon radish or 
  • 2 carrots, chopped 
  • 1 large parsnip, chopped 
  • 2 turnips, chopped 
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped 
  • 4 lbs red potatoes 
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste
Candida Detox Diet

Place turkey legs in a large soup pot. Cover with purified water. Add bay leaves, parsley, and thyme and bring to a boil. Simmer for 4 hours, until meat falls off the bones. Strain soup and remove bones. Dice meat and add back into the broth. Add vegetables and simmer for 1 more hour. Salt and pepper to taste.
 

African-Style Turkey
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless turkey breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped 
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced 
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced or grated 
  • 1 tsp sea salt 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice 
Place all ingredients in a large, covered pot and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour on low heat. Serve over a whole grain of your choosing.

Marinated Trt-Tip Roast 
  • 1 11/2 - 2 lb trt.tip roast
  • 1/2 tbsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tbsp cracked black peppercorns 
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic cloves 
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger root, grated 
  • 1 tbsp Bragg's Liquid Aminos 
  • 1/2 tbsp white pepper 
  • 5 drops of stevia 
Mix all ingredients well and cover the meat with them. Place meat and any excess marinade in a plastic bag and put in the refrigerator for at least an hour or, better, overnight. Put meat in a roasting pan, making sure to cover it with any remaining marinade from the plastic bag before roasting. Roast at 425 degree for 30-35 minutes. When meat is cooked to desired doneness, carve across the grain into thin slices.
 

SIDE DISHES 

Artichokes with Dipping Sauce 
  • 1 artichoke per serving
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Pinch of sea salt 
  • 1 tsp raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar per serving 
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise per serving 
Wash artichokes. Cut off stems to base and stand upright in a large saucepan. Add 2-3 inches of water to the pan. Add the bay leaf and sprinkle the sea salt into the water. Cover and simmer over medium heat until the base is tender - about 45 minutes. Add more water if needed. Blend mayonnaise and apple cider vinegar to make a dipping sauce.
 

Stir-Fried Green Beans 
  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed 
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced 
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt 
  • Crushed red pepper to taste 
Heat wok or skillet over medium heat. After 1 minute, add oils and heat for 1 minute. Add green beans and turn heat to high. Stir-fry for 5 minutes or until green beans are seared, or lightly browned. Add garlic, salt, and red pepper, and stir-fry for about 2 more minutes. Serve hot.
